Schwerin - Germany

We’re staying in a small park about 1.1km from the middle of town. The park is right on the lake and here is a picture from the van’s step.

Lunch and the Town
We spent a large part of the day looking around the town. OMG Lunch…! We found a great little cafe, just off the town square and got two pastrami sandwiches…OMG they were huge.
It’s also fun watch my Gill, her habit is to discuss with the waitress the items on the menu and change some bit to her liking. This is cool to watch when the waitress doesn’t speak a word of English and Gill can’t speak German. But she is picking up words and bits and pieces very quickly.
By the way we’ll be having left-over pastrami sandwiches for lunch tomorrow.

Schloss Schwerin
At Schwerin there is the castle and church. We did the walk around them, here’s some pictures from what we took. We also spent time doing some people watching, sat in a park and watched some local guys playing, I think it was boules, but they were using pieces of wood and trying to get closest to the stick. Maybe I’ll find out what they were really doing
Also sat in Schwerin Cathedral for about 20 to 30 minutes watching Gill wander and take pictures. There was a guy on the pipe organ playing …. arrrr I think Bach… very enjoyable. Pipe organ music is music to feel, it reverberates right through you. The church is to free to enter, but still cool….I was sitting right under the pipes.
