Soest- Germany

 Cologne pushed back a day

We couldn’t get into the park we wanted because it was full, but they relented and let us in one day later.  So we pulled into a small town called Soest.  A very small town but lucky we did because we realised we needed a low-emission sticker for the part of Cologne where the park is in.

So we spent the day, getting a sticker from DEKRA and seeing the little town.

The DEKRA is like a motor inspection centre. The guy asked ‘are you tourist’ and then gave it to us for free. Saved us 18 euro….cool.

The little town takes about 10 minutes to walk across (small), but with two churches.  The two churches are about 4 meters between them. One was being renovated and closed, but the other was open.  The local brass band was practicing, it was very nice listening to them inside a big stone church.

There was also the local growers market on, so we picked up some fresh veg for dinner.
